Dr. Ajay Kohli

Dr. Ajay Kohli will join IRRI, Philippines as a Senior Scientist in October 2008. He is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia, Perth. Till recently he was a Research Fellow at IRES, Newcastle, UK where he led an international consortium on Jatropha. He was at the John Innes Centre, UK (1995-2002) as a Ph.D. student, a Research Scientist and finally as a Project Leader. He has been a Scientist at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. He has 35 peer-reviewed high impact articles in journals/books and 2 patents.
His current research interests are rice and Jatropha biotechnology.
